Every price on this site is the price. Diagnosis before we touch it.

A technician working under the hood in the shop.

Diagnosed before we touch it.

Two brothers, four bays, on Sixth Street since 2011. Every job we do often enough to price is priced on this site, along with how long your car will actually be here.

Nobody publishes wait times. We do, because the second question everybody asks on the phone is how long, and because a shop that will not answer it usually does not know.

The board

Flat prices, and the time in the bay drawn to the same scale on every row so you can see what is a coffee and what is a lift home.

The job Time in the bay01hr2hr3hr4hr Price
  1. Oil and filter 30 min in the bay $65

Full synthetic, up to six quarts, filter, and the levels topped. We do not up-sell you a flush while the car is on the lift.

  2. Check engine light, read and explained 20 min in the bay Free

We pull the code, tell you what it means in a sentence, and quote the repair. Free whether or not you have the work done here.

  3. Battery, tested and replaced 25 min in the bay $185

Tested first. About one in four cars we see for a dead battery has a charging fault instead, and replacing the battery would have sent you home with the same problem.

  4. Tire rotation and balance 45 min in the bay $60

Four wheels, rebalanced, and the pressures set to the door plate rather than to whatever the last shop guessed.

  5. Brake pads, front 1 hr 30 min in the bay $210

Pads, hardware, and the rotors measured. If they are still in spec we say so and you keep them, which is most of the time.

  6. Serpentine belt 50 min in the bay $145

Belt and an inspection of every pulley it runs over, because a belt that shredded once usually had a reason.

  7. Air conditioning recharge 1 hr in the bay $140

Evacuated, leak-tested with dye, and recharged. If it leaks back out inside a month the second visit is free.

  8. Alignment, four wheel 1 hr 15 min in the bay $110

On the rack, printed before and after. You get the sheet whether the numbers were good or bad.

  9. Alternator 3 hr in the bay $480

Part and labour. Most cars in the van, some are a day out. We will tell you which yours is on the phone.

  10. Water pump 4 hr in the bay $520

The longest job on this board. Coolant, gasket, and the thermostat while we are in there, because doing it twice costs you the labour twice.

Prices include parts and labour and do not move unless we find something else, in which case we stop and call you. Open a row to see what is in it.

We call before we spend

If the job grows, the car stops and the phone rings. You will never collect a car and meet a number you have not already agreed to.

Your old parts, in a box

Ask and we keep them. It is the cheapest way for a shop to prove it did the work, and it costs us a box.

Two years on what we fit

Parts and labour, twenty four months or twenty four thousand miles. If it fails inside that, it is ours.

Sample design, Business tier. Sixth Street Auto does not exist. This page was built by Ben Miller at Druid City Sites to show what four to six pages buys, and what a shop looks like when it publishes both what a job costs and how long it takes instead of hiding both behind a quote form. See the prices or text me about your own.
